Went to Winkley on Friday, the 15th. Started out catching fish on an xtra crispy with a sjw below it. Fish really started hitting the indicator, so i took the hint and fished a #12 orange crackleback....

oh.. severl things here... 1. You definitely want it to sink into the film when you start stripping it back. So, foam is a bad idea. a heavier streamer hook can help sink it too. 2. you definitely...

After reading this thread, I tied up some, using sparkle braid on #14 3x long streamer hooks. Some observations....the ones on which I managed to get the hackle correctly (facing forward, not back)...

Somehow my post disappeared... weird. The body material I use on my cracklebacks is simple large Holo tinsel. Very easy to tie and works amazing. Green, pearl, silver. B

Rich: No worries at all. It just looked similar. I use Han's site as a reference all the time. Pretty much all the flies he posts are of the highest quality.

D, I've found that more sparse hackle actually works better. You also might try that Holo Tinsel for the body. Its a killer fly. Yours looks great tho and will probably catch just fine. The one I tie...
